Success Stories

Portia was a poor unwanted old cat looking very much like she was on her ‘last legs’. She came into care from her original owner’s mother (obviously not a ‘cat person’) in a really sorry state – skinny, almost bald in places from a flea allergy and tales of her being unable to keep any food down. Her grey coat was mostly brown indicating that a lot of time was spent outside. She was scared and very depressed. She needed lots of TLC – which she certainly got from us. We brought her into the house from her foster pen to try and get her to trust humans again. The room we let in to her had floor tiles – very sensible as the poor puss got so over excited on several occasions resulting in very loud purring and wetting herself (and the knee she was writhing on!!! Still, jeans are washable…….). Our patience and care paid off – now she is an extremely happy cat.
